Walgreens Shopping explained! Using and earning Register Rewards and Balance Reward Points. #couponcommunity, #walgreens, #deannasdeals

Capture1

You’ve decided you want to coupon at Walgreens and it seems like a foreign language!

WALGREENS – Register Rewards and Points Explained

2910718980_ceafa4d0fa_z
Register Rewards print at the end of checkout like a Catalina. They can be used on your next order.
You can not buy multiples of the item or items and get multiple Register Rewards.

If the deal is buy 2 get $2.00 reward, you will only receive one Register Reward if you buy more than 2. You must separate your transactions to receive multiple Register Rewards.

You can not use the Register Reward to buy the same item again.

When you buy  an item or items that make a RR print and try to use that specific RR again to buy the same items or from the same company the next RR will not print.

Example: You buy mouthwash and get $2 RR, you can’t buy another mouthwash and use that RR to get another RR.

You can use a Register Reward to buy a different Register Reward item or items.  We call this Rolling your rewards. As long as you are not using them on the same products or same company, your Register Rewards will print.

Example: Buy Mouthwash, get $2 RR. Then buy laundry detergent, use the $2 RR, get $3 RR. Buy another mouthwash, use the $3 RR and you will get another $2 RR.

You must have an item for each coupon you use, including the Register Reward.  If you are buying two laundry detergents and have two coupons, you must get a small filler item to use your Register Reward. Walgreens have cheap candies near the register.
We also have Walgreens Balance Reward Card which is  a POINT system, that allows you to earn points in addition to RR.

How do I earn and redeem Balance Reward Points?

19756146_1966816096875403_600894573_n

A: You can redeem points once you accumulate 1,000 points. To redeem your points, you will verify the redemption on the pin pad.  You can choose to redeem all, some, or none of your points.

19756286_10214476279447788_1815676332_n

Here are the guidelines for redeeming Balance Reward Points and using Register Rewards.

POINTS and REGISTER REWARDS can be earned when you use coupons on a purchase.

Point do expire – 3 years after earning or if your card is inactive for 6 months.

The maximum amount of points that can be redeemed in one transaction is 40,000 points, or $50. This is the maximum amount of points that can be redeemed in a single purchase.

Points can be redeemed in the amounts listed:

1,000 Points = $1
2,000 Points = $2
3,000 Points = $3
5,000 Points = $5
10,000 Points = $10
18,000 Points = $20
30,000 Points = $35
40,000 Points = $50

What if I did not get Balance Reward Points on a purchase?

Walgreens site advises: After logging into your account at Walgreens.com/Balance, click on Credit for missing points. You can also access this on your mobile phone via the Walgreens mobile app or by calling (855) 225-0400 to speak with a customer service representative.

HELP! A Shopper’s Guide To Helping Couponers Create A Coupon Friendly Environment In EVERY Store! #LizzieSavesAlot #CouponCommunity #Newbies #CouponGoals

HELP!! My Store Staff Does NOT Understand Coupons;
A comprehensive guide to working WITH your local store teams in an effort to CREATE and maintain a coupon friendly environment

There have been many occasions where I have heard shoppers express concerns that the local stores that they shop don’t ‘understand’ coupons, or that the store personnel don’t ‘like’ couponers.  Below I have complied a summary of guidelines that are TRIED and TRUE in helping shoppers to create an environment that is enjoyable for both the shopper, and the store!

Be Prepared
Upon entering the store, be prepared, and have a plan. Being prepared and organized shows the store that you respect them, the other customers, and their time. If you intend to purchase in bulk, and supplies are often limited, try to make arrangements in advance. Have your coupons, clipped, counted, organized and ready BEFORE approaching the register. Know and understand your store’s coupon policy, this includes any locally based rules and regulations. Know and understand any necessary coupon language (Need a guide? Get one here: Coupon Lingo)

coupons1

Choosing your Checkout Location
Remember to follow the checkout guidelines. If you have many items, avoid holding other shoppers up by NOT using the express checkout lane. If you KNOW your store does not allow ad matches at the registers, and you intend to ad match, head to customer service.

Capture

At Checkout
CONGRATS you have made it to checkout! Now that you are here, you will see that every checkout experience will probably be a little different. You cannot control how others will respond to you and your coupons, but you can ALWAYS respond you respond. Approaching with, and maintaining a professional, positive attitude is the BEST way to build a positive relationship with your store staff, and have an overall positive checkout experience. Every cashier is different, and many have different approaches to couponing. Try to abide by your cashiers requests, so long as they are reasonable (cashiers may ask to see your coupons in advance, scan as they go, etc.). If you come across confusion on coupon terminology, try to teach in a calm, professional manner.
Many store personnel are confused by ‘per purchase’/ ‘per transaction’. An excellent way to deter this confusion is by showing a P&G coupoon as an example, as these coupons often say, 1 PER PURCHASE, 4 Like Coupons PER DAY (See image below).

Capture

Remember, although it may seem frustrating taking valuable time to teach others, being patient now, may save you time and frustration later!
If you and your cashier are still unable to see eye to eye after calm discussion, you may ask to speak to a manager.
Speaking to a Manager
If the situation remains unresolved to the point that you cannot proceed, you may need to request to speak to a manager. At this point, it is imperative that you calmly express your points to the manager. It is not effective to argue, or debate, rather rationally point out facts and openly discuss the policy. This is a GREAT opportunity to show that couponers can be an asset to the store, and that working together can benefit all parties involved.

IF the manager has time, be sure to ask the following questions. If they do NOT Have time, ask if they are willing to arrange a meeting to address your questions. Below are some points of interest to cover during your conversation:
*Does your store have a specific coupon policy (this policy may be MORE or LESS strict than the national policy)?
*May I have a copy of the policy?
*If coupons are limited to xxx amount in a transaction, will your store allow multiple transactions?
*Does your store ad match?
*What is the procedure for doing so?
*What is the range it will match (How many miles out, online, etc)
*IF said store ad matches, it is advisable to bring your local drugstore ad and ask, can you circle which price you ad match?
*How should I proceed in the future if I have difficulty at checkout?
The key to this meeting should be to open a dialogue with the store. Some stores will do incredible things in the name of customer service!! Remember, the key to this meeting is not to ‘win’. BOTH Parties should leave the meeting feeling a little more comfortable with couponing in general!

Capture

But WHAT IF my meeting DOESN’T go like that?
Always, Always, ALWAYS follow the chain of command. If after meeting with the store manager, you are unable to come to common ground, you may need to go to the next step, the District manager and request to speak to them. When speaking to the DM, you should apply the same prinicples, be calm, logical and rational. Also be sure to listen to what they are saying in response.
Following the chain of command allows the store to rectify what is not going ‘right’ within the store/stores under their umbrella. It also affords an opportunity to build a very positive relationship with your store team.

What IF…After All of these steps, Couponing at my store is STILL No FUN?!
Unfortunately, there are occasionally situations in which you cannot come to an understanding with the immediate team over the store. In these instances, we recommend following up with corporate either by phone, email, or with a certified letter if the situation warrants.

Ultimately, it is always best to work things out from the ground up. If you give your store the opportunity to resolve an issue independently, it will give YOU the opportunity to build a very positive relation ship overall. You will be always be remembered by the manner in which you conduct yourself, so help to give your fellow couponers a GREAT name by putting your best foot forward, every time you shop!

How To Find the SKU for Items at WALMART! #WalmartSKUfinderDiva!

((((((( What’s the SKU???????)))))) When someone posts a deal, we often find ourselves rapidly, scurrying through the post to find the SKU? A Stock Keeping Unit ( SKU) is the inventory system that many stores use to identify and track an item within the store. SKU’s make life so much easier for stores. However, when someone posts a deal without listing the SKU, we twiddle our fingers & toes and wait patiently as scores of people begin to ask the same question in a million different ways:  “What’s the SKU?”. “SKU, Please?”. ” Do you know the SKU?” or “Please, post receipt!”

Oh Boy!! If you are anything like me, you’ve seen your share of “What’s the SKU?” requests! Welp!  Now, it’s time for us to take control and arm ourselves with the knowledge of locating the SKU for ourselves. So, follow these steps to find the SKU for an item at Walmart.

  1.  Go to Walmart’s website. Some people can do it on their phone. But, most will need to log into a computer or IPad.
  2. Put the name of the item you are searching for in the searchbar. (BE SPECIFIC)
  3. When you locate your item, CLICK IT.  A new page with YOUR SPECIFIC ITEM should open.
  4. Scroll up to the top and look in the URL . DO NOT LEAVE THE PAGE!! ( The URL is the long bar that starts with https://www.walmart…)
  5. Follow along ALL the way to the end of that long string of words and symbols. There at the end, you will see a set of 8 numbers.
  6. That is the SKU for an item.

A How to Shop Rite Aid Guide That Will Give You MAXIMUM Savings! |#deals #couponing #savingmoney #couponcommunity #coupondeals #linlinsavesyoumoney

This guide to Rite Aid couponing will help you save TONS of money and get your items for the BEST Price!

Everything about RITE AID

If you are new to Rite Aid You will be glad to know that there are TONS of ways to get SUPERB savings!

Rite Aid has a Plenti Points System in a way it is like the ECB system at CVS and the Point system at Walgreens.

I  will explain Rite Aids Plenti Point System and the ways you will save the MOST money shopping once you become Rite Aid Couponer!

What are Plenti points?

Plenti points are rewards earned and used with Plenti partners. Members of wellness+ with Plenti can earn Plenti points when they make eligible purchases at Rite Aid and other Plenti partners.

Plenti points give you even more ways to save since they can be used for savings at Rite Aid as well as certain other Plenti partners. Customers have at least two years to use them.

When you shop at Rite Aid you earn Wellness levels the more you shop at Rite Aid.

There are 3 Levels of Wellness rewards you are going to want to get to GOLD level for MAX savings

What is wellness+ with Plenti?

wellness+ with Plenti enhances Rite Aid’s wellness+ program by partnering with Plenti to deliver even more value to our customers.

Through wellness+ with Plenti, our customers can use one card and earn two kinds of points.

  • wellness+ points are points earned toward Bronze, Silver and Gold status discounts exclusively at Rite Aid. Members can earn one wellness+ point for one dollar spent on eligible front-end purchases and up to 25 wellness+ points for every eligible prescription.Effective January 1, 2016, members with 0 – 499 points will be Bronze status and earn (1) 10% off one-time savings pass with every 100 wellness+ points earned until they reach 499 points. With 500 wellness+ points, members earn Silver status and qualify for 10% off nearly the entire Rite Aid store for a year. And with 1,000 wellness+ points, members earn Gold status and qualify for 20% off nearly the entire Rite Aid store for a year.Plenti points can be earned at Rite Aid and other Plenti partners including AT&T, Exxon, Mobil, Macy’s, Nationwide, Direct Energy and Hulu. Members can then use those points for savings at certain Plenti partners.

You will want to factor in your wellness level when you are couponing at Rite Aid because Your Total AFTER your Wellness level is what any point offer that have thresholds of a dollar amount are based on. Meaning if with your wellness level your are below the amount needed to earn the Plenti points you will not receive them.

What is the difference between wellness+ points and Plenti points?

wellness+ points are points earned toward Bronze, Silver and Gold status discounts exclusively at Rite Aid. Members can earn one wellness+ point for one dollar spent on eligible front-end purchases and up to 25 wellness+ points for every eligible prescription.

Effective January 1, 2016, members with 0 – 499 points will be Bronze status and earn (1) 10% off one-time savings pass with every 100 wellness+ points earned until they reach 499 points. With 500 wellness+ points, members earn Silver status and qualify for 10% off nearly the entire Rite Aid store for a year. And with 1,000 wellness+ points, members earn Gold status and qualify for 20% off nearly the entire Rite Aid store for a year.

Plenti points are a new, additional set of points that can be earned at Rite Aid and other Plenti partners including AT&T, Exxon, Mobil, Macy’s, Nationwide, Direct Energy and Hulu. Members can then use those points for savings at certain Plenti partners.

Plenti points are considered store cash and you can use them in your transactions to take off of your total so that your Out Of Pocket (OOP) is low.

When you earn Plenti points they show up at 6 a.m the day AFTER your purchase that you earned them in.

Now that You are familiar with Rite Aids reward program we will go into detail on how to save the most money!

At Rite Aid you can stack your coupons that you purchase weekly with in store sales and/or in ad coupons as well as point earning offers.

You can save money many ways at Rite Aid listed below are the ways you can maximize savings:

  • Stacking coupons this is where you will use an in store ad coupon with a manufacturer coupon you usually will not get PP back with these deals BUT you will get an AMAZING Savings amount
Rite Aid Gives out Store IN AD coupons located inside the weekly ad
  •  $ off $$ Coupons for store use that print AFTER your purchase at the register you can use these with your future purchase to lower your OOP you hand these over BEFORE any other Store or Manufacturer coupons
  • $ off a certain item coupon that print at the register after your purchase.(you will have to read these carefully some are store coupons and some are regular manufaturer coupons)
  • Catalina offers that print at the register for buying certain amounts of items these are promos from the Catalina company and these coupons can be used at any store once you receive it.
  • Plenti Points you earn with your purchase you will start “ROLLING” into other Plenti Point Offers to have EXTREME savings

You are going to want to look for deals that you can use all of your coupons on as well as offers that will get you Plenti Points back.

Like any drug store reward program you will have a higher Out of Pocket starting than when you start rolling your plenti points.

If you are already in the game and have some points you will do what we call rolling your Plenti Points (PP) and only pay OOP listed in transaction scenarios posted!

NOTE:Once you get points you are always going to want to roll your points into more point earning offers!

For additional savings you will want to make sure all Mobisave, Savingstar or Plenti offers (you can only do one or the other as they are both Savingstar) are loaded and be sure to look for Checkout51 offers as well as Ibotta and any other money saving app not mentioned!

Using These pointers as well as making sure to check for rebates on your money savings apps will get you the MOST savings at Rite Aid!

Also you will want to ALWAYS be on the lookout for Rite Aid Clearance it can be AMAZING as well! I am always on the lookout for Clearance that has PP AND a coupon that will go with it which DOUBLES and possibly triples your Rite Aid Savings!

PLANNING YOUR CVS SHOPPING TRIP

  • Make sure you have a CVS ExtraCare Card
  • Check your CVS Ad or WYD’s Coupon Matchups Here, OR see WYD’s CVS Deals Here and make a list of the items you would like to purchase.
  • Check WYD’s database, your CVS ExtraCare App or print coupons here for coupons that go with the items you have on your list.
  • Plan and organize your shopping plan. Make sure you have a backup plan just in case some items are out of stock.
  • Head out to the store and SHOP SHOP SHOP – If you will be doing more than 1 transaction, I have found it best to use either recyclable shopping bags or use their hand baskets placed into my cart to keep each transaction separate.
  • Keep your coupons that you are using (items already in your cart) organized. I use a paperclip and paperclip the ones I am for sure using together.
  • Checkout time
    • Have them scan your CVS ExtraCare Card
    • Hand Coupons in this order:
      • $ off $ (ex. $4/$20, $2/$10)
      • CVS Coupons
      • Manufacture Coupons
      • ECB’s that you are using
  • Get rainchecks for items that were out of stock.
  • After you have paid for your order check over your receipt. Double check everything came off correctly and that you received all your ECBS’s. Its better to know while still in the store than after you get home.

QUESTION & ANSWER!! These are the questions that get asked the most

(Q) How many ECBs can I use per transaction?

(A) As many as you want. However, the register will usually stop accepting them if they will make your subtotal (pre-tax total) negative.

(Q) Do I need to spend $15 if the offer is $5 ECB when I spend $15?

(A) No, MOST CVS stores have a 98% rule. As long as you are within 98% of the amount you would receive the ECB offer.

(Q) Can I use my ECBs on someone else’s card?

(A) NO, All ECB’s are linked to the card they were earned on

(Q) Can I use multiple coupons within a transaction?

(A) Yes, as long as all of the coupons meet their qualifications.
Examples:
• Two $3 off $15 coupons for purchases that are $30.00 or higher.
• $3 off $15 coupon and $5 ExtraBucks® Rewards for a purchase of $15.
• $1 off toothpaste mfr. coupon and a $2 off toothpaste Coupon Center coupon for a $3 toothpaste item.

***A transaction is defined as the entirety of purchases on a single receipt.

(Q) Can I use multiple coupons on sale items?

(A) Yes, for certain coupons and certain sale items.
Examples:
• Suave shampoo is on sale for $2.00 Buy One, Get One Free (BOGO) and the customer purchases two shampoos; the customer may use two coupons for $1.00 each and pay the applicable tax.
• Suave shampoo is on sale for $2.00 BOGO and customer has a mfr. coupon for Suave BOGO. Customer will receive both items for free but will need to pay any applicable tax.

(Q) Can I have more than one card?

(A) Technically no, you cannot have more than one card to your name with the same address. However, you can have a card for everyone in your household according to customer service. Some managers and other employees (incorrectly) think this is wrong, so they may question you if use multiple cards at their stores.

(Q) Can I buy something for $4 and use a $5 ECB?

(A) You can, but you would lose money. You have to use the full amount of the ECB because you will not get money back.

(Q) What is a “FILLER”

(A) An item added to your order to “use up” any additional ECB amount preventing you from losing some of the money.

ex. You have a $10 ECB, but your total is only $9.25. You would add a cheap filler for $.75 so you don’t lose amount. Candy bars, gum, trial size items all make great fillers.

WHAT IS A KROGER MEGA EVENT?

A Kroger Mega Event is a promotion that Kroger does several times a year.  Mega Events usually run for 2 weeks and will vary each time. You may see a “Buy 4 Save $4”, “Buy 5 Save $5”, “Buy 10 Save $6″…ect. You MUST purchase the quantity of items for that particular promotion. As an Example: Buy 5 Save $5 Event, you MUST purchase items marked with this promotion in multiples of 5 in the same transaction, you can mix and match items that are part of this promotion.

Here is an example of a Mega Event Tag:

HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF SHOPPING A MEGA EVENT

  • Make sure you have a Kroger Plus Card – this will help take off additional savings. Sometimes there are higher value coupons than those that you can print or have in the inserts. Most Kroger Plus Card coupons are a limit of 1 use, sometimes they will offer coupons that have a 5x limit(which means each coupon is good for 5 items)
  • Check your Kroger ad or See WYD’s Coupon Matchups Here and make a list of the items you would like to purchase.
  • Check WYD’s database, your Kroger Plus card or print coupons here for coupons that go with the items you have on your list.
  • Plan and organize your shopping plan. Make sure you have a backup plan just in case some items are out of stock.
  • Head out to the store and SHOP SHOP SHOP – Make sure the items you are purchasing are INCLUDED in the Mega Event (these items sould be tagged)
  • Keep your Mega items separate from other items you are purchasing. (see examples below)
  • Keep your coupons that you are using (items already in your cart) organized. I use a paperclip and paperclip the ones I am forsure using together.
  • Checkout time – Count your Mega Event items as you place them on the belt for checkout. This is to double check that you have the correct number of items for the promotion. I always hand over my Kroger card first so that I can watch the screen to make sure that the items are ringing the Mega Event Price. Plus, this allows me to see my total before any coupons come off. After all items are rung up, hand over your coupons.
  • After you have paid for your order check over your receipt, just to double check everything came off correctly. Its better to know while still in the store than after you get home.

Kroger Mega Events are a GREAT way to stock up on items and get a stockpile going.

QUESTION & ANSWER!! These are the questions that get asked the most

(Q) Is there a limit to how many Mega Event items I can purchase in 1 trip?

(A) No, You can purchase any of the items in the Mega Event as long as you purchase in the required multiples. If you are using coupons, you will still need to stay within the stated limit on the coupon or your stores coupon limit. Check with your local store if you would like to purchase in BULK quantities. Most stores will order bulk quantities for you and allow you to use larger amounts of a single coupon.

(Q) Do I need to purchase all of the same items?

(A) No, you can mix and match any of the items as long as they are included in the promotion. You MUST purchase the quantity of items for that particular promotion to receive the promotional price.

(Q) How do I keep track of how many Mega Event items I have?

(A) There are MANY options to use for this:

  • Use reusable shopping bags – Put mega items in your bags, once each bag has the required items for the promotion, close to bag and move on to another. (Bag 1 has 5 mega items needed for promotion, close it and move to Bag 2)
  • Use the bottom of your cart for NON-EVENT items, this requires you to count your Mega items as you go. (More of a chance of losing count)
  • Use the front of your cart(child seat, bread holder, whatever you may call it) – If the Event is B5S5(Buy 5 Save $5) then put your items in the front of your cart, once you reach the 5 (or whatever) needed for the promotion then place them into the back of your cart

(Q) If at Checkout I realize my count is off, what should I do?

(A) Again, there are a few options:

  • If you haven’t paid yet, you can remove the extra items
  • Most times there are items near the checkouts, grab the extra items to reach the promotion
  • If you have paid, you can go to customer service and return the items, then you may repurchase them with added items or choose to come back another time to purchase.

(Q) Do clearance items get the mega event savings?

(A) YES, and I love when this happens. As long as you purchase in the correct multiples for the promotion the mega discount will apply to the clearance.

**NOTE – I hope this has answered alot of the questions asked about a Kroger Mega Event. If you still have question feel free to message me or ask in the groups, WYD has the BEST members that are always willing to help.

How to Get The Most Savings At Rite Aid All The Detailed NEED To Know Information is INSIDE This Post!|#deals #couponing #couponcommunity #couponfamily #linlinsavesyoumoney

If you are like me You were quite disappointed when Rite Aid Took Away Their rewards program last year!

riteaid

BUT I am SO Excited to tell you how to get the Most Savings Step By Step with The NEW Plenti Points Program!

There are 3 Levels of Wellness rewards you are going to want to get to GOLD for MAX savings

Now that You are familiar with Rite Aids reward program we will go into detail on how to save the most money!

To get the most savings at Rite Aid you will want to stack your coupons that you purchase weekly with in store sales and/or in ad coupons.

Like any drug store reward program you will have a higher Out of Pocket starting than when you start rolling your plenti points.

For example gain pods are 2/$10 spend $20 get $7 in PP back.

If you are a first time couponer at Rite Aid You will buy 4 packs use the 4 of the $3 coupons and your OOP will be $8 BUT you will get back $7 in PP.

If you are already in the game and have some points you will do what we call rolling your plenti points (PP) and only pay $1 OOP!

Do you see the difference? Once you get points you are always going to want to roll your points into more point earning offers!

ALSO before you do any deals you will want to make sure all Mobisave, Savingstar or Plenti offers (you can only do one or the other as they are both Savingstar) are loaded and be sure to look for Checkout51 offers as well as Join Find & Save as well as Ibotta and any other money saving app you find!

Every so often you will may receive a $ off $$ Catalina (a catalina prints from a separate printer than your receipt) we will say I got a $3/$20 coupon catalina

These stack with your man and store coupons as well.

I will give you the same example above but add the $/$$ coupon

gain pods are 2/$10 spend $20 get $7 in PP back.

  • Buy 4 packs
    Use
    $3/$20 Rite Aid Catalina
    4 -$3 coupons
OOP will be $5 BUT you will get back $7 in PP you just made this deal a $3 moneymaker in PP

Do you see where you can really get some AMAZING savings!

Now here is ANOTHER scenario using the bronze member 1 time use 10% coupon on the same scenario

  • Buy 4 packs
    Use
    10% bronze member q -$2
    $3/$20 Rite Aid Catalina
    4 -$3 coupons
OOP will be $3 BUT you will get back $7 in PP you just made this deal a $5 moneymaker in PP

Now Rite Aid Gives out Store IN AD coupons. These are located inside the weekly ad

You can use these along with Manufacturer coupons to maximize savings!

For Example:
This week there is a Speed Stick Gear in store coupon for $2 AND there is a printable one for $2
Gear is $3.49 if your store rings in the coupon correctly you should get $.51 overage added to your cart if not the worst you get is an item FREE!

Rite Aid Clearance can be AMAZING as well! I am always on the lookout for Clearance that has PP AND a coupon that will go with it which DOUBLES and possibly triples your Rite Aid Savings!
